I just moved from these apartments. The insides are trimmed with crown molding and the paint scheme is nice. The maintenance team is also helpful. However, the management staff carries a false air of apathy toward any problem that you have. Case in point: The hose to my dishwasher burst and flooded most of my living room. I pulled up the wet carpet and aimed several fans under the free edge to dry the carpet. When maitenance came in they put the wet carpet back down and checked out the dishwasher without leaving a note saying if it was repaired. I called the office and was told that it was fixed and the carpet would be fine. Luckily I stood by the unit when I tunred it on because I could see the floor starting to flood again. The maintenance guys came out the next day and replaced the dishwasher. They were very appologetic and are actually quite helpful when the ladies in the office provide them with the correct information. I was prepared to sign another lease here when I found out that the property is being over run with rats. They have infultrated the walls and the space between the floor and celing of several buildings. The office staff has been telling the residents that the rats are confined to "only a couple" of buildings, and that they are "starting to go away". I realized that they had gotten into the space above my apartment just a couple of months ago and got those two responses ( in quotes) from the office staff when I complained. The Property seems to be very safe and the location is good, however the lack of concern for resident complaints about the rodent issue made me leary of what might happen if I signed a new lease. There was a new employee in the office when I turned in my keys who informed me that I would not be able to have anyone do a walk through until the following Monday but that I couldn't wait because I would incur a charge if I retained the keys until then. I have no idea about the status of my deposit as the phone calls I have made regarding it have yet to be returned.
