Not as bad as some say

It seems like these reviews fall into two categories, those written by pissed off former tenants and those written by staff members. They are either horrible or oozing with fakeness.

Basically, I have lived here for over a year and since I have moved in things have gotten progressively worse. The rent is good, the electric bills are bad. The staff is very friendly, the maintenance staff is not always competent (more than one guy to fix stuff often).

It is not the best place to live, but then again for the cost it is quite a bargain. The pools are not that bad, and in fact when the staff pays attention to them they are not bad. The parking situation is bad in some places and in others it is okay. The quality of the apartments depends on the former residents.

My apartment for the most part is fairly good. The windows are the best, and the AC units and water heaters are ancient (reason for high power bills). Many of the long time residents are friendly, courteous, and quiet. Most of the new tenants (especially since late Fall of 2005) are not so friendly, can be quite scary, and are very noisy (especially at night on the weekends) and inconsiderate of others.

The management has always been helpful when it could be, and has even worked to resolve numerous issues. I have had some issues with mold in the bathroom, mainly because the fan is not the most efficient and the humidity lingers. I have never had any problems with roaches. I have had problems with ants and wasps (which the staff has promptly dealt with when I filled out a work order).

From my college experiences, and my experiences living in SWBTS housing living at Cameron Creek has been the best renting experience I have had yet. That is not to say it is the best place to live. But if you are living on a budget, are not horribly pessimistic, and realize the limitations of apartment life (noise, lack of privacy, inability to control everything) then living at Cameron Creek could be a good choice for you.

I am not a staff member, and although I am a resident I am not going to tell you my name, because this is the internet and that would effectively give you my name and address. I guess you just have trust that I live here.
