Do Some More Homework

I've lived here for 10 months now and almost everyday I come home and wish I didn't. But what can I say, they had a good special at the time and it looked like a good neighborhood and complex, so I moved in. Now I wish I had looked around a LOT more. A serial killer was arrested here a few weeks ago. I called the front office and they said "it was a guest of a renter" and that "they've been arrested." Arrested because I see a cop car in these apartments every few days with some new problem or other ever since I moved in. The walls are so thin that my neighbor downstairs hits my floor when I WALK (and I'm not a heavy person) and I can hear everyone's music from all three adjacent apartments and even downstairs apartments. Neighbors are friendly but they all agree they want to leave. The train is no more than 50 feet from the complex (talk about a rude 2 am wake up call!) and even though the outside is getting fixed up great, it just doesn't make the place better to live. A huge electrical center is right next door to the complex (talk about radiation!) so when I open my door I see defaced (complete with nasty words and derogatory sayings) electrical poles and graffiti. The fitness center has two cardio machines and about 10 weight machines, so even though they're brand new, I can never use the cardio machines b/c someone else beat me to it. I finally just joined the gym across the street. The water bill for just me and my roommate everymonth (two showers a day dishwasher twice a week, that's IT) is between 40 and 50 dollars, and I'm not the only tenant that has that problem. It should be around 20. The laundry room is $1.75 per LOAD so I drive to a laundromat. I could keep going, but I think I've made my point, do some more homework before moving in here.
