drain fly infestation

This complex has a serious problem with drain flies and they do not want to take the proper actions to alleviate this issue. Note: I conducted extensive research on how to get rid of these drain flies. Apt mgmt told me to pour bleach down my drains and were adamant that there was nothing else they could do. After I had finally had enough, I went back to the office and advised them to do something or lose me as a tenant. For around two months, apt mgmt, maintenance and pest control took all kinds of measures to get rid of these flies. However, they never took the proper steps. See link for correct method: http://www.pestproducts.com/mothfly.htm In the end, I was allowed to terminate my lease. This was a horrible and expensive ordeal. At the height of infestations, I would kill around 200 flies a week. They got into my food, drinks and loved toothbrushes. It was just disgusting. It got to the point that I stopped cooking and eating in the apartment. The neighbors above and below me both had the same problem. And I spoke with several residents in the complex, who either had the problem in the past or were currently experiencing the problem. Management at this complex should either address this issue correctly or be condemned by the health department. How can the apartment leasing agents look potential and new tenants in the face knowing this problem exists.
