I've been living in these apartments for about 4 years now. Maintenance is wonderful, its been the same lady since Ive moved in, Great attitude, very nice, waves to all the residents, and KNOWS WHAT SHE is doing!!! Management seems to be a little bit grumpy and snooty, but since the 4 years living here only changed management once, BUT THE MANAGEMENT does know how to run apartments, everything usually runs smoothly.
I reported about roof leaking during storms, they told me not to worry about it till water was coming into my apartment, had a problem with my food disposal, they came out that day and replaced it. CLAIM they have a fitness room, spa, pools and hot tub, but NEVER OPEN. I have only swum in the indoor pool once and that was in 2000, since then it remains closed. The other pool, very beautiful, but has been closed since a tenant threw some grill charcoal in trash and caught the pool house on fire. This was summer 2003 its now JAN 2004 still not open. Has a GREAT HOT TUB!!...
NOT A VERY SAFE COMMUNITY, which is why I will be leaving. They do have gates and they work 90% of the time, but I still get reports about people being held up at gunpoint and being robbed in parking lots. I have also had reports of mailboxes being robbed but this has only happened twice and they are trying to fix it.
They have police living in the community. The grounds are kept very well, very peaceful. Drafty apartments, expect high electricity bills. They pay for water, I think its free because they are always having to fix a pipe (shut water off for a few hours) but its really not an inconvenience since they tell you before hand. Had problems with laundry rooms (someone kept breaking into them) but they have fixed that... if it wasn't for the crime I would stay. Overall its a great apartment complex, and really great priced. I have had the same rate for four years, and renew every six months.
Oh one more thing, I live on top floor but I am pretty positive downstairs can hear every step we take. So if you move in make sure its top floor. They also try very hard on trying to get the community together, which is always a plus in my book.
