Bad Area of Town... Worse Apartment

When I lived here, a friend's brother lived here as well and came home to a robbery in progress & was held at gunpoint while the robbers cleaned him out. There were constant sounds of gunfire in the area, and a rapist was doing the rounds. The office manager tried to blame me for a Dog Barking, even though I didn't have an animal in the aaprtment. She was a total pain, and I wish severe acne on her for life! This was a big apartment, but very poorly maintained. I was also mugged at knifepoint 5 miles away from this area. I still have the knife scars on my elbow, and the guy got 10 years. Again, NOT a good area of town to live in.

The more than shady characters you encountered are difficult to completely eliminate within apartment complexes; it's such a varied mass of people that the likelihood of encountering a weirdo or a criminal is still completely unpredictable. And before you go trash-talking the area in which I live, please realize that until Fall of 2008, there were Section 8 apartments -- Villa Del Rio, for one -- right down the damn street, practically diagonal from your complex. Why the city decided it was cool to place those next to a COUNTRY CLUB NEIGHBORHOOD and upper middle class people, primarily ages 32 , I will never understand. It is hardly a "bad area" of town. I have lived in this are just off Boca Raton in Woodhaven for 10 years and have enjoyed a very happy, safe, and beautiful late childhood and young adulthood here. It hurts you were put off enough to dub the Woodhaven area "not a good area of town to live in"...I realize gunpoint and talk of a rapist on the grounds is far from a pleasant environment, but there is waaaaaaay more to East Fort Worth and Meadowbrook/Woodhaven than scummy apartment jerks who prey on the honest and good.
