1. Noise. The only problem - and it is significant if you face the tracks - are the trains (and bikers). When the trains roll through and blow the horns, it is bothersome. The rep did not mention this when I visited the first time. I suspect that office personnel do not deliberately share this information, unless you think to ask. Some of the other posts mentioned noise issues with bath and toilet, but speaking for my own unit, I have NEVER had any problem like that at all. Also, the fire alarms too were punishingly loud, and evacuations much too often.
2. Construction. I have called maintenance numerous times throughout first year. It is unbelievable that the quality is this pathetic for a new site. Everything from door being out of alignment with frame, to cheap plastic covers for the toilet, are a few of the more memorable issues.
3. Staff. This is mostly hit, but sometimes a miss. The recent trend over the last six months has been one of improvement. I can strongly recommend Stephanie, Shelly, and Rachel.
4. Parking. The garage space is very tight ... the best parking is on the top level. If you get levels 1-3, it will be tight and competitive.
Upsides are downtown location, quick access to 35 and 30, free bike-storage closets, recycling program, and appearance.
Downsides are price per square foot (RENT), occasional window stickers for not displaying parking permit, some very poor construction issues, train noise, and ridiculously loud and occasional fire alarms.
Overall, for my studio rent at 831 - this place is a disappointment BECAUSE of the noise and incompetent construction. In the past, I have paid in the 600s for new, and been MUCH better off.
