This complex has many things going for it: downtown, brand new, very secure, covered parking for everyone, nice appliances with good layouts, a secure postal box area. That's why I rented here and was satisfied with those aspects. Things that you should be aware of that aren't so great: Noisy neighbors abound - many are college students and/or very young who make lots of racket, screaming and yelling when they come home from the bars. Expect to get a midnight, one a.m., two a.m. and three a.m. wake-up call from your drunken neighbors every friday and saturdy night. Other noise worth mentioning that I need to reinforce from other posters include trains (all night long, so don't plan on keeping your windows open when sleeping) and the plumbing (scared the heck out of me when I first heard it, and my visitors are astounded by the noise level of the "russian river" every time someone above me fluses the commode. Also, people leave their trash out in the hallways (to be fair, management tries to police this, but I attibute this phenomenon of bad taste to the intelluctual immaturity and lack of concern for one's neighbors of the folks doing this). The fantastic workout room and pool are NOT centrally located; unless you live close to the west side of the complex, it is quite a hike and not at all convenient to use these wonderful amenities. The office help is hit or miss; I have been treated very well and also very rudely, depending on the person behind the desk. If you are an attractive single young gentlemen, I have noticed the service improves accordingly. I am getting close to the end of my lease and appreciated the letter giving me plenty of time to notify the office of my intentions, but the prices have shot through the roof! Washer/dryer rental went from a reasonable $30.00/mo. to $50.00, and the rent increased (for a year's lease) by over $100/mo. I guess the management has problems with the single, quiet, always pay on time, never make noise, take their trash to the trash room, don't pound nails into the wall, follow the rules, don't abuse their neighbors, etc. type of renters, at least according to the way I see it. That's the only conclusion I can come to after examining my options. I am currently looking for a new apartment.

Dear Anonymous -
I am happy for you that you have't had the problems I have had. I am using the benchmark of other similar apatments in Fort Worth I have lived in/spent time in to make the assessment stated in the message above. The whole point of reviewing your experiences in an aprtment on this site is to give other readers an idea of what they might expect when living here. Forwarned is forarmed.

I lived at TLB for a year and never experienced any of your over-embellished descriptions. Never heard drunken neighbors, never saw trash in the halls. All apartment units share the same plumbing system. What do you expect, private pipes? I was always treated with respect by the staff (maybe because I treated THEM with respect?). The management has no control over the trains. Call the city and complain.

To the anonymous user comment on 5/1/08, you obviously did not live on the "city side" of LTB. Like clockwork you can hear loud, drunk people coming back from a night on the town every night of the week (except Sundays for some reason), from 12a - 3a.
