I moved into these apartments on a prorate of 1 month free. Have lived here for 10 months and I am leaving on terms of the military clause which TERMINATES the lease. The management is trying to make me pay back the prorated amount. The lease states that I only have to pay back the amount if I infract the lease. Which I am not! I am using a legal clause to TERMINATE the lease. I have not infracted the lease in any means. The manager told me that previous military personnel have had to pay the amount back, and I told her that she had cheat them out of their money. Which she then proceeded to kick me out of her office. The management clearly does not respect the military or what we do. I would fight this in court, but I have orders and probably won't pay the amount anyway. Also there is no way that I have found to contact the owners. They are a Canadian based company that probably owns several apt complexs and I seriously dought they would care.

I think you are not telling the truth. why would the manager just kick you out her office because you said that.

Probably because there was more than that said, and if this is true, then I do not blame this person for saying or doing what ever happened in the office.

Regardless what was said in the office, and if the manager kicked him out or not, what they did is B.S. If military personnel receive orders, they have no choice but to move wherever they are needed. That is why they came up with the military clause. Anyone who doesn't honor it should have to pay the consequences. Those of us who have been over sees, putting our lives in harms way without question are the only ones who understand what we do. The rest just don't understand, and there are a few that just don't give a !@#$, and will try to screw us out of our entitlements. Just because they don't think that deserve it. People like the ones at these apartments. I was about to move into these apartments until i read this. And i will tell everyone i know looking to move not to move here.
