Mill Valley Apartments

MOLD!!! From: hatemillvalley Date posted: 9/24/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I have lived at Mill Valley for over a year. I have to admit that overall I LOVE my apartment, and that's the only thing that's keeping me from breaking my lease early. This is why you DON'T want to live at Mill Valley: 1. A couple of weeks ago I discovered that my air ducts have been INFESTED with mold that has been keeping me sick for months on end. The office didn't seem to take it too seriously...telling me it was nothing but "moisture". I had to send a certified letter to them telling it that I wanted it removed. I also contacted the FW Health Department and Code Compliance. They finally got some no-name, no-English-speaking carpet cleaning company to come out and "clean" the mold out of the ducts (or at least that's what they SAID they did). I know from several other residents that mold is a pretty big problem around here. 2. This place is VERY unsafe. I've been woken by the sound of gunshots in the middle of the night. Cars are broken into on a regular basis. My best friend (who lives next door to me) is a police officer and she's constantly worried that some thug criminal is going to break into her car or slash her tires when they find out what she does for a living. 3. All of my neighbors smoke weed, and if I leave my windows open I end up with a constant contact-high. And they're LOUD!! I've had to call the cops for noise complaints SO many times since I've lived here. The walls are so thin you can even hear people standing outside talking in normal voices. So unless you like to breath mold, watch your car being broken into, and live with a contact-high, don't move here. And by the way, I'm 99% sure that all of the positive reviews about this place are written by Marie and Stephanie...who work in the leasing office.
