Some good, mostly bad

I have lived here for about a year and a half and I was pleased at first, but the complex has really gone downhill! The COMPLAINTS: At first I thought the place was quiet, but then school let out and there are kids running all over the place!!! They break windows, scream and yell at the top of their lungs, and climb all over everything. There are not just one or two-- try 10-15. I would not move here unless you can sleep through anything. The pipes make really bad groaning noises, the power goes out at least once a month, they have to shut the water off at least once a WEEK to fix leaks (which is off all day), and the traffic through the complex is very noisy. There is NO PARKING!!!! When there is a maintence problem, they say they will take care of it, but a week later you have to call and "remind" them. When one of the kids broke my window, it took them 3 weeks to fix it!!! Talk about a horrible electricity bill. The appliances are very old, including the pipes!!! The walls are banged up in every apartment that I looked at and have been painted about 40 times. They are so thin that you can hear your neighbor talking on the phone. DO NOT LET THE MODEL FOOL YOU!! The good: the closets are big and you get 1 covered assigned parking spot. The rent is somewhat decent compared to other complexes--but it is older. The apartments are located off of the beaten pathway, close to some pretty nice homes.
Overall, not a place that I would call home.
