The complex has significantly changed over the past 5 or so years. There has been a lot of turnover in ownership and management. The current management team is sub-standard to say the least. They are not responsive to resident concerns and do very little to maintain a high caliber of new resident. The newest residents that are moving in are not the kind of people you will want to live next door. Even the local Fort Worth Police Officer that used to live in the complex has moved out. In the past there was a large contingent of older tenants, which helped the complex stay safe and quiet. Those individuals have mostly moved out and been replaced with... well, not good neighbors, to say the least.
If you are considering Oakwood Estates, stop. This is not an attractive location. There are better, safer apartment complexes nearby.

This is just an update but where the Fort Worth police officer moved is now in the middle of significant increase in breakins. She did not improve the quality of protection at her new place as she did not here. I thinbk there are things we don't know about her moving out of this complex.
