Let's start from moving day. After I signed the lease, they asked me what color carpet I wanted. I told them (in writing) that I wanted gray carpet. When I opened the crooked door on moving day, I saw the ugliest green carpet on God's earth. A couple of months later, my next door neighbor got SHOT right on my doorstep! He was chasing after someone who was stealing his car. Where was the front gate attendant (I refuse to call them security guards)' He was probably purchasing drugs from a resident. A week later I was on my way to work at 10:00am and the local losers were out drinking beer. I had my car keys in hand and was almost on my way. Suddenly, one of the morons asked me if I wanted a beer. I just laughed and went to work. This is the kind of scum that hangs around here. About two months before I moved, there was a domestic dispute outside of my shelter (I refuse to call it an apartment). The boyfriend was throwing bits of asphalt (from the torn-up parking lot) at his girlfriend. The chunks were hitting my outside wall and I could not sleep. THEN there was the hot water fiasco. It was December and my hot water went out for a few days. It was Sunday and I called the 'emergency maintenance' number and some lady answers and blamed it on a broken pipe. I said 'If the pipe were the problem, no water would make it to my apartment. I am getting water. Water is cold until it reaches the water heater. Hot water does not travel through the pipes.' She stated again that the pipes were broken and then hung up the phone. I brought this up to management and they had no idea who answered the phone. To sum it up, DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF YOUR LIFE. The overweight staff is HORRIBLE. There is no security. You get what you pay for! This place is a trailer park that is permanently fixed to the ground.
