I was a resident at Park Ridge for 6 months at about 3 years ago. Not only did I have huge roaches, but I had termites in my closet that had eaten away at 2 of my cardboard moving boxes and left a sticky liquified cardboard residue on the closet floor. Not only that but when I went to stay at a friend's house for the weekend, I came back to find millions of dead gnats in my refridgerator and freezer. My neighbors were extremely creepy. When I wasn't getting weird notes from the guys that lived there, I was getting harassed by this elderly woman & her redneck son because that wanted me to drive around everywhere. Whenever she knocked on my door she covered the peep hole so I wouldn't know who it is. I felt extremely unsafe there, considering the gate attendants allowed anyone who knows how to wave inside the complex. There was also a terrible leak with my skylight that damaged every paper work I had laying on my countertops. Whenever I contacted the propertly management or maintenance about these problems they just pretended to do something about it to get me off their back. On top of all these problems they have ruined my credit by sending an collection agency after me and not contacting me to let me know that I even owe them money. The only way that I found out was when I was trying to refinance my car and they turned me down because my credit rating points were dropping. Because of this place and their failure to contact me, it will be another 7 years before my credit will be o.k. It was bad enough not getting my deposit back, especially since a friend and I both worked a full day trying to scrub the termite residue from the floor, but the fact that I owe them money is absolutely unfair and unjustified. I beg and plea to anybody reading this to please find another residence, especially if you are a young single female, because this place will not care about you or your safety. I have read all the reviews for Park Ridge and I totally agree with all of the complaints made against these apartments. I've lived in poor conditions before but this place is definetly on the top of the poor list.
