The office staff is not as bad as most other reviews makes them seem. Some are airheads, but there are 2 people in there who actually work and you just have to figure that out and deal with them. As far as maintenence- it's an old complex, things break on a regular basis. Prepare to deal with it. With that in mind, remember the hassel that every other tenant is going through and cut them some slack. Depending on what building you are in and who your neighbors turn out to be, the apartments are ok. If you get a bad run, then you're in for a nightmare. I've heard something resembling gun shots and on numerous nights, I see police. There are a lot of college students who party- thus a lot of alcohol consumption and empty bottles laying around. In the summer, I noticed that the pools are heavily chlorinated and the chlorine is manually added and sometimes the powder gets left on the side of the deck. My boyfriend has ruined a swim suit and had chemical irritation from it. The management team didn't seem too alarmed until I came and threatened to call the Health Dept. Also, the pool at the main office is so highly used by everyone, I've found diapers and bottles and food laying everywhere. It's no wonder why the place is going down hill. It's not necessarily management that is making it horrible or rodent infested, but the tenants who can't pick up after themselves. Also, everyone here has a dog, so there is poop everywhere because there are no clean up laws. The grass is pretty though. Oh, and there are fire ants EVERYWHERE. If you watch yourself and stay on top of things, it's ok for a starter. We've been here for 7 months and are looking to move up to bigger and better, but we may stay another go round.
