Make sure everything works before moving in. Do not have high expectations in regard to timely repairs.

A make-ready is always completed before a resident moves in. This is not to say that a repair is never missed. Because of this possibility we give all new move-ins a Move-In Inventory form, which is due back to the office 48 hours after move-in. This form is to note any needed repairs and or cosmetic damage that is in the unit. We do not claim to be perfect,as no property is, though we do strive to complete maintenance requests quickly. Residents must understand that we do not have all parts for repairs on hand at all times. Sometimes parts must be ordered, which can take 1-3 days, and that's if said part isn't on back order. Unfortunately some things are out of our control when it comes to suppliers and vendors. |
