River Park Place Apartments

DON'T MOVE HERE!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/11/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   If you move here, make sure to view the actual apartment you will be moving into before you sign your lease!! I was moving from another city, the day I was supposed to move in I called the complex to confirm that the apartment was ready for occupancy. I was told yes. Well when I arrived with the movers in tow, the apartment was a holy mess. The leasing agent replied "I'm so embarassed". Mind you this was the same leasing agent who told me the apartment was ready!! Then to top it off, they did not have another apartment available to put me in. So I ended up stranded on a holiday weekend with no where to live; having to find a storage and ended up having to pay for two sets of movers, utility connection charges, etc. The complex finally reimbursed me for the cost of the storage, telephone and electricity connection charges, but only after I threatened to sue. And even then they did not reimburse me for the additional charges I incurred with the movers. The office staff seemed friendly at first, but when all this happened it was a different story. They would not return my calls, would not give the name of the owner (until I informed them that it was illegal).
