When I moved in here 2-1/2 years ago this was a "A" property and I was very pleased. In recent months River Park Place seems to be sliding into "C" property status at an alarming rate. More residents are disregarding all the rules. Trash is on the curbs ALL THE TIME. People park on the sidewalks and in spaces clearly marked as no parking (generally access space for sidewalks). And the dog poop! Instead of putting the provided little green bags in a trash bin, some fools just drop them curbside. Those are the people who actually pick up after their dogs. Seems the larger the dog the less inclined the owner is to "scoop the poop". Management makes a lot of rules concerning these issues but management doesn't do anything about the offenders. As long as there is no consequence the rules will not be honored.
Management wanted to raise my rent by $50. If my quality of life had improved that much I might have been willing to pay it. I sincerely hope that when renewal time arrives again that I won't be forced to move because of a rent raise that does not reflect the care of the property by the management. I have some really great neighbors and would hate to leave but they are as upset as I am about the trash, the poop and the parking.

I'm a resident. It sounds like you're just having some issues around your building. The parking in the "access space" for sidewalks MAY not be true. When the parking lot was repainted recently a couple of those spots were made into parking spots due to lack of spaces available. I know that I occasionally park in one of the spots where the no parking lines have been bleached out and made into a parking space.

I'm a resident and I agree about the trash and parking issues. However, it seems like they are going to start enforcing the trash rules (management has just announced a fine for leaving trash out on weekends - assuming they can figure out who it belongs to, I think this will help). I don't think much can be done about the parking problem, since it almost always seems to happen in the evenings after the office is already closed and there's no one to complain to. Ultimately, these and the dog poop problem have to be blamed on careless and inconsiderate neighbors, not the complex. There are rude people everywhere.
