I moved not long ago. After reading the comments on the site coupled with my own experience here I becoming concerned. The model unit is really nice. Then I come to my apartment and the floors are so uneven my friend says my bedroom is like walking down hill and the vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom is lumpy. There is also some kind of rodent that keeps scratching in my bedroom walls and the office says it is a squirrel running around on the roof. The scratching that happens in the same area EVERYDAY, rain, shine, morning and night is not a squirrel running on the roof!
The front door had a big gap in it that you jiggled the door and it would open without turning the knob and you could see OUTSIDE around the door. Also there is just no insulation here. When it is cold you can feel drafts streaming around doors, windows and electrical sockets. I know I will have to stay out of my apartment this summer or pay through the nose to cool this place. The apartment has a reasonable price but I will pay for it in electric bills.

On the upside they fixed the door so that you have to turn the know to open it. They put some weatherstripping, it's better but not terrific, I bought some more and added it. The staff is always pleasant to talk to and the maintenance guys are really nice. I think the management must have changed from the earlier reviews because I feel like the apartment community is safe and it's pretty quiet around here.

I agree with you. To be honest reading your review is such a coinsidence. I have been here now for 5 months. For the last 4 days I have started to hear what sounds like something scratching the walls in my bedroom as well. I thought it was the water sprinkle system. It always happends between 9:30 and 11:30 at night. You are scaring me that it might be a rodent. LOL It might be. These are truly really old apartments. They were built in approximately 1984-1986. This is why your floors are uneven, etc. I thought I was the only one that noticed those things. There are portions in my bedroom, the other bedroom and in the living room where when you walk barefoot you can literally feel the the "whole" in the floor where it is not even. To charge 700 a month it is hard to understand why they are working on such a shoe-string budget. These are really old apartments that need some updates. My door is messeed up too.
