Where to start...I guess the first thing to say is that moving into the apartment was the most difficult thing I have ever endured. 3-4 ft directly in front of the entrance is a wall. Yes a wall. You can't get anything of average size in there without doing a contortionist act. I had to ask my upstairs neighbor to help me carry the couch around the apartments, lift it over the railing, and bring it directly into my living room from the patio. I probably will never get it out of there. *cries*
Ants. Do you like ants' I don't. In fact, I hate ants. One morning I woke up with bites all over me. I was in terror!! There were ants all over my bed, my floor, my clothes. EVERYWHERE. What the hell'' Yea I'm not the cleanest person, but this was insane. I've never seen so many ants. I'm practically phobic of them now. They come in through the UNSEALED window frames, which I've asked a dozen times to have sealed up and no one has done it, through the base of the toilet, and from under the doors to the patio. Yeesh...
If you like to pay your bills on time to avoid stress over late fees, definately don't move here. I have never gotten a water bill on time and it's curious that the paper bill is sure to let us know that under all circumstances, the payee is responsible for a late bill/fee. I'm waiting for the day they try to stack up those late fees on me. -_-
Like to buy stuff online' Don't have anything too big to fit in your mailbox shipped to the apartment!! I freaked out when I hadn't recieved a very expensive item I was expecting and when I inquired to the management about it they said they had no idea where it could be. I went back a week later *pissed* and HEY! they found my package in the back. (wtf)
Another person was NOT kidding when they said it should be named "Water Standing". Not only is there a self sustaining pond near one of the corner apartments, I've also had problems with the tub leaking, sprinklers blowing out and water spewing for hours on end, and even a busted hot water pipe outside that wasn't fixed for a couple of days. The tub leaks so badly that it covers the area from the base of the tub all the way around the toilet and over to the sink. The last time my shower handle was leaking I asked the perpetually drunken porter to fix it. When I got home there was junk left all over the place (apparently he even stopped to have lunch and probably took the time to peruse my panty drawer), plus he completely BROKE off the other knob. Looked like he had used it to prop himself up as he leaned over the tub and !Big Surprise! it came off. He didn't even fix it!!! Just left it there.
Do you like working garbage disposals' Too bad. I've had mine changed three times (that's a pro right, at least they changed it...) The first time it was "fixed" the *drunken* porter just tore out all the rubber, sort of making the whole deal pointless, because afterwards everything fell into it.
They change assistants every...ooh month or so too. So when the guy who sold me the apartment turned up missing the manager pretty much rebuked everything he told me and that was frustrating. They also went up on my rent out of nowhere...
Oh and my thermostat doesn't work and the a/c never turns off. Imagine the bills...
Last major point: LOCKS. The locks here suck. Or maybe...again it's the porter. Guy changed my locks and lost the key. Then he changed them again and cut the keys wrong so we couldn't get into my apartment. Last time he changed them he forgot to change the 2 back doors and the storage door soooo I can't get in or out of those. Again, because of the types of locks they are, they are totally unsuitable for "french doors". My back doors are falling apart to start with and they are all glass with a couple of dead bolts. Every break in here that I've heard of were people just kicking in the doors. I hope I move out before the same happens to me...
Pros!! There is always somewhere for me to park. Maybe it's just my side of the complex, but there are more than enough spaces. My neighbors are nice folks and none of them are noisy. I have seen an influx of...well people who hang out by the dumpsters and just chill there. Since it's gotten colder they've been staying indoors, but in the summer it was creepy. Especially at night.
I haven't had any problems with the management since I first moved in back in Aug 05.
The pool and hot spa are nice. :D
I like my floor plan, pretty big for not being expensive.
And last, it's a pretty good location as far as the airport, train station, mall, etc. (granted you don't buy groceries, I still haven't found a store close by...)

About that water bill....have you also noticed that what you are paying for is three months behind schedule? Sure way to make sure they get all of your deposit when you move....
