Have been here two years bexause of the close proximity to friends ans family, but will move soon. Property has had issues with crime and recently and housing itself is sub par. Carpets should be cleaned when signing a new lease but that didn't happen. Old appliances and thin walls. Recently changed parking rules and can't even have company over without walking through the complex for "visitor parking".my recommendation...keep looking.

We would love to schedule a carpet clean for you, because we do that for anyone that wants to stay with us at the Vanderbilt. We are over 20 years old so our appliances will not be the newest, however you can alway opt for the new appliance package which are the black GE appliances. They look beautiful in all our apartment homes. We like to keep tabs on all the people that come in and out of our community so we can better control the community as a whole. We do have visitor parking near each building, however sometimes those are taken and that is why you may have to go a little further to find a spot. If it were me I would have my guest park and then pick them up if it was further than expected.

I'm a resident of Vanderbilt Apartments and have been for the past six years. This community is wonderful. Crime is the same as any other apartment complex, but the Vanderbilt Staff takes steps to provide a crime-free property. They are always on top of maintenance problems and they have a very personable staff. I can say I have enjoyed my stay during this time.

@vap9475. I'm glad you stay has been great for you. But the complaints do seem to be legitimate here. I find it to be to the same as the other communities in the area when it comes to crime. I haven't had any safety issues, however the new Management is a joke and unprofessional. Frankie and Chad I thought were a great team, but even that went down in smoke. The maintanance crew is still the same. Very professional and they get the job done in a reasonable time. The issue with carpet cleaning is that they do not and will not clean your carpet when you sign a new lease. They did in the past, but since we are in a recession I guess that is not an option.
