We were lied to from the beginning. After reading reviews on here, we decided not to rent at the Verandas. We were told we would have up to a week to change our minds and get our money back. We changed our minds even before the approval went through. We were told that we would get all of our money back, including the app fee since they forgot to do some paperwork. Well guess what''' When we went to get my original check back, they said they had already cashed it. That was a lie b/c it wasn't deposited until a week later. They said we would receive the entire refund in about 30-45 days. We received a check shorting us almost 100.00!!! They said the app fee wasn't refundable and there was a 50.00 non-refundable deposit. Legally they can't keep that "non-refundable" deposit until 24 hours after we had been approved. This management is rude and unreliable. They lied over and over. They couldn't keep their stories straight from one person to another. I am so glad that we didn't end up renting here. But I am not one to take things lightly and don't like to be taken advantage of! My attorney is going to have a field day!!! This staff is incompetent. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

Well I will say that it is sad that someone would write a review on a property they have never lived at. I went through the same thing with a property using the TAA lease application that I received from the Verandas. I will say that if you actually read what you are signing they don't even have to give you any of your money back, so people should pay more attention to what they are signing before posting nasty reviews about their lack of responsibility. I live at the Verandas and love it! Never have problems!

I disagree with this response and of course would agree with the complaint. You can read the TAA lease application and understand completely the rules and regulations, however, if the Manager verbally agree to do something different from the TAA form then she needs to honor it. If not...that makes them a liar and if they can't keep their story straight, which happens alot with them...then they are stupied liars. I am an unhappy resident here...Management is hardly in the office when I need them and they never call back....

actually, if you read the TAA application, it states that the "application deposit" is non refundable if you withdraw before approval. the TAA lease also states that verbal agreements are not legally binding. and fyi, anonymous resident, i am also a resident here and love it. people like you are never happy with anything.

I agree with reading the lease but i've been in a similar situation about being told one story and getting a complete different story. The management here will do ANYTHING to get your signature to sign. AND YES! They HAVE lied to me too! I am VERY hard headed and came to the conclusion that if you don't fight ALL of the way through you wont get what you need done... whether it is a problem with your apartment or simple instruction!
DO NOT RENT HERE>>> JUST TRUST ME...
