Village of Hawks Creek Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

I have lived here for almost two years. The overall look of the apartments is very nice, but last night did it for me. We have had three changes in management and recently the complex has been bought by a new company. None of the staff is very helpful. It takes quite a while for anything to get done. Our water bill is constantly being lost. The roof in my room has had a leak since day one and they have yet to fix it properly. The living room is starting to leak. The bathroom was not cleaned when we moved in. The list goes on. But last night there was a shooting in the complex, thankfully no one was harmed although they did steal the mans car,The gate has been open all week and that is what allowed the two shooters to come in. My roommate and I are going to the leasing office tonight to try and get out of our lease. The complex is just not safe.

TO HAWKS07, I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 2 YEARS AS WELL AND I DO NOT AGREE WITH YOU AT ALL, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY HAVING A BAD DAY. THE NEW AND CURRENT STAFF MEMBERS ARE VERY HELPFULL AND ALWAYS EAGER TO HELP. I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER UP THERE AND THE MOTOR WENT OUT TO THE GATE, (NOT THEIR FAULT) IF A ROBBER WANTS TO GET IN TO A COMPLEX GATE OR NO GATE THEY WILL. THERE IS CRIME EVERYWHERE.. MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE TO YOUR HAPPY PLACE WHERE IT IS CRIME FREE AND EVERYONE LIES TO YOU, AND MAYBE YOUR DAYS WILL GET BETTER..

I lived in VoHC for 2yrs also. I don't live there anymore but I would move back there in a snap. I moved for personal reasons. I agree with the above poster. A shooting can happen anywhere. If you don't like crime then you should move to country. I really think you should give the place another chance cause it isn't all that bad.

I know a robber could get in regardless, I'm just saying the complex didn't do everything in there power to help minimize the risk. The gate was not fixed in a timely manner. The complex I am in now guarantees that they will fix the gate same day or next day. Well I am glad you are having a better time with the staff, and I was not having a bad day, perhaps you should learn some respect and have some sympathy for people instead of going off on a rampage. This incident truly scared me and I don't appreciate being yelled at on an online forum designed to tell people about experiences that they have while living at a residence. I was home alone, and heard three loud shots then a kid screaming about how he was shot at. It was terrifying, I fell on the floor and called the police, it took them a while to get there and the entire time I am lying there on the verge of tears because I can hear this poor kid yelling I was shot at! He tried to shoot me! and his mother yelling They shot at him! they shot at him! I know the world is full of crime, I have just never been that close to it before. I know that it can happen anywhere. but maybe, just maybe if the gates had been closed those guys would have thought that it was more trouble than it was worth to try and climb the gate. But the gate was open, and an easy target. Again try and have more sympathy for people in difficult positions. Thank you.
