Where to begin...
Gave up having my dish washer fixed because it broke after every "repair".
Doors sometimes close because of foundation shifting. The front door often makes a sound similar to someone hitting it when the foundation shifts. This averages 3 times a day. I am NOT exagerrating.
The sidewalks are often submerged, in fact I noticed some actually have pond scum on them - which is algae build up.
The streets are too narrow for 2 cars.
Often people trying to pack up and flee this place are blocking entire streets.
Only ONE gate in/out. When it breaks, you are screwed because you cannot get a hold of management.
Broken glass in the pool behind the main office. Beer Bottles in the rec-room.
The management will pull things like:
"You have to sign an 'intent to vacate' form 60 days prior to leaving."
"Well I need a form then."
"We're out."
They remained out for a month. They said we could just write it on a piece of paper but they were VERY resistant to initializing it themselves.
They will ask you why you are moving out - in public in front of other people moving in. When you say you want a cheaper apartment they recommend you get a smaller one.
Management has changed hands 5 times in 4 years, yet these fluff heads insist they've been there for 8. The complex is only 5 years old.
The shower heads in multiple apartments are non-adjustable and tend to be stuck on "Miss the tub completely" but they might have re-worded those as "Let's help you mop that floor."
When shower problem was brought up by me and 2 others, they recommended we get our own shower heads.
Water quality is so low that within a month my new shower head had internal build up blocking the streams.
Management is intolerable. You will always get a terse reminder that your water is due 5 days before it is due and they will start fining if you are not on time.
We prepaid our water with a large deposit to avoid this annoying litter. When it ran out they began to process eviction over a $12 bill. They did NOT tell us for 2 months we came in to pay rent. What's more, we still had $100 credit.
Please keep in mind that this apartment complex is across the street from the Tarrant County College. A lot of parents put their over aged brats here like a would be dorm. These punks have no qualms about entering your garage.
And someone recently has created a "black box" that allows them to open garage doors.
On the upside there are bunnies that like to come out and scamper around. It's because of the swamp in the back. Come by and see if I lie about that. Don't get a tour, take a walk and see.
Mind the sidewalks..
