worst renting experience EVER!!!!!!

When my roommate and I were shown our model apt. on two seperate occasions the leaser, Jordan, showed us the two bedroom "premium" apt. with two garden tubs and a balcony. We thought that was what we were getting. On the day we received our keys, the apt. was not the "premium" with the balcony.I called her right away and she apologized for the mistake and said the model we wanted wouldn't be available until 2 months later.At this point, we had no other option but to accept this because we had already signed the lease.They also said the carpet was new, but so obviously wasn't. We had multiple maint. calls because the microwave, the garage door, and kitchen sink didn't work. the apt. was not cleaned to normal standards and even the side of the bathtub was kicked in as if nobody had even checked it over in the first place.But being so busy with our careers we decided to live out of our boxes for the two months, move, and everything would be ok. WRONG! After we settled in to our new apt. which was even filthier we received our damage notice for the apt. we lived out of boxes for 2 months in. $1100 !!!!! When we confronted the staff they showed us pictures dated for the month we moved in and said we had left the apt. in this poor condition when the dates clearly were from the month we moved in meaning that the previous tenants left it that way. When we pointed this out, Amber the ass.mngr, said the dates didn't mean anything and she could change the dates right now if she wanted to.I have never ever been treated so unprofessionally in my life. We are unfortunatly still living in these poorly managed apts. because they extended our lease after we signed the new one for the correct apt. and the refused to work with us on that. They also charged us for the "premium" apt. we weren't actually in for those 2 months and didn't reimburse us for that either.There is much, much more but those are the main things.Don't judge this book by the cover, you will regret it.

If any of you become victims of "rent concessions" please contact me at screwedbymansions@sbcglobal.net. These fees are illegal. If you know of anyone that has been charged rent concessions, please give them this e-mail address. Breach of contract(breaking a lease) people are welcome to respond!
