They are embezzling the deposits.
I had the apartment proffesionally cleaned (I have the receipts) and had David come over for a walk through and he told me the place is in very good condition and it wont be a problem to get the deposit back. FOR ONE YEAR Each time I called, they told me they dont have my forwarding address and my deposit check is in the mail. I finally took them to Better Business Bureau, after the arbitration they sent me a final report saying they had to change everything and I actually owe them $ 30 on top of the deposit and they are writing it off as uncollected account from the goodness of their hearts.
THE NERVE!

Due to employment, and the stupid TX lease contract I also moved out 3 months earlier but kept paying the rent until the end of the lease term because you cannot break a contract even for employment in another state. They had 3 months to show the place to potantial renters and even rent it to someone else, while I was still paying the rent.

Due to a religious ceremony and babtism upstairs their bathtub broke and There was literally a waterfall from the ceiling into my bathroom.The maintanance and management did nothing as the bathroom upstairs regularly flooded my bathroom and damaged my belongings.

If any of you become victims of "rent concessions" please contact me at screwedbymansions@sbcglobal.net. These fees are illegal. If you know of anyone that has been charged rent concessions, please give them this e-mail address. Breach of contract(breaking a lease) people are welcome to respond!

My husband and i had to move out after a month because he is in the Marines and was transferred to Virginia. I don't know how an apartment could need over $300 worth of clean up and repairs if we lived there for less than a month and never used one of the bathrooms or the kitchen. Then they sent us a second bill adding an additional months rent and not the negotiated rent $200 more than what we were actually paying. They want over $1200 after taking out the deposit even though we lived there for less than a month... I couldn't live there after my husband left b/c I didn't like the roaches crawling around even in the bedrooms ( did i mention that we had no food in the house b/c we found out that we were leaving, the roaches were not from us). This place seemed nice when we decided to move in, but i guess i should have taken more caution to the reviews.
