Not too horrible

My #1 complaint is parking. If you have more cars than you have reserved spaces, then you had better be home before 5pm when everyone gets home from work in order to get a space. Every night there are at least 10 resident's cars parked in fire zones or illegally in handicapped spaces because of lack of parking. Just forget about having friends or family over to visit.
The location is not bad at all - only 3 minutes from Nasa 1 and I-45. Only 3 minutes from Baybrook Mall. Only 10-15 mintes from I-45 and BW8.
We have not had any complaints about noise. We can hear people walking above us and occasionally may hear someone talking if our apartment is completely quiet, but that is to be expected.
The grounds are very nice in the front entry and front apartments, and acceptable the farther from the front you get. The lakes look nasty - like sewage wrapped in a wrought iron fence. There are quite a few kids around, but no playground for them to play on, although there is lots of green space to put a playground or more parking.
I feel somewhat safe eventhough the security gate is broken 99% of the time.
Our electricity bill has been very high due to older/cheaper construction. There is no microwave, the dishwasher just wets and heats the dishes (they never come out clean), and the oven has no window on it so you have to open the door and let the heat out in order to check on your food. The kitchen seems spacious at first but is very awkward with the angled wall. There are a few cabinets, but no drawers, unless you count 3 drawers that are 3" wide (big enough for one serving spoon). Where am I supposed to put my silverware' The breakfast room is not large enough for more than one chair and the tiniest of tables, but you will have to move it out of the way to get to the pantry or balcony door. There has been an increasing problem with bugs. I have not seen any rodents, however I expect to see a roach, ant, or spider everytime I turn on the lights at night. On the plus side, there is new exterior paint, a nice interior paint color, new carpet, crown molding, and a good amount of closet space. The 2 car garages are very nice and somewhat unique for the area. There is also curbside trash pickup twice a week.
Maintanence is usually handled in a somewhat timely manner. They maintanence personnel are very nice.
Staff seems pretty nice and somewhat helpful.
Overall I would suggest this apartment to anyone who will only be using their 1 or 2 assigned spaces and is not planning on having any family/friends over to visit. No apartment is perfect, but this one is the one I chose after lots of research. I did ask about the parking on my tour of the complex and they said it was not a problem - which was totally incorrect. For what you pay in rent here, you might as well buy a house - mortgage payments with property taxes are less than rent.
