If you have kids - keep looking

I moved in from out of state and was first impressed with the kindness of the manager. Unfortunately, the community has a lot of older members, and I have kids. The manager had little patience or understanding for kids wanting to play in the courtyard, ride their bikes to visit others in the apartments, talk on our porch etc. It seemed that little kids are tolerated better than the older ones. My next door neighbor did not like that some of the kids visiting would spit out their gum etc. I am not their parents, but asked that they not do it and asked my kids to monitor it as well. Instead of having a talk with me, my neighbor stuck gum all over my door knob. I lived there for 3 months and was happy to move out. I have always lived in apartments and I was so surprised by the managements attitude towards kids. So much for first impressions.

I am so glad I found this web site. I too lived at salem square,I was there for 6 mon. and had the same problem with the mananger. I tryed several times to reach her boss and no one would return my phone call. This person ( the mananger) knows there is no other reasonable place to live in Friendswood and I feel she gets some sort of power trip from doing some of the things she does. As far as I am consered she is a horrible person.
