When I first moved into the skyhawk apartments I couldn't wait to get out. Rylonda (the property manager) was useless and the maintenance guys were nice but barely knew enough to get by. I had to call the corporate office several times to get a new air conditioning unit because the one I had was made in 1982, no kidding I saw the date when they removed it. The gates were always broken and most of the people out by the pool were not even residents. Kids ran wild and vandalized the place (the worst moved out thank god). Anyway, Amy came in and we had a party to celebrate Rylonda's departure.

Amy is doing a great job. She has fixed the gates and has remotes for the front gate. The weight room is being upgraded right now. All outdoor lighting has been fixed, the commons areas are well lit. All the air conditioners have been replaced (inside unit and out). People are quite and keep to themselves. I live by the pool and rarely have a complaint about the noise. There is no access code that opens the gate. Someone has to call a resident to open the gate. Which is good for security, I haven't had anything broken into or vandalized. The new maintenance man is very friendly and has been very helpful in my dealings with him. And the covered parking is free.

There are a few negatives. The remotes don't work on the side entrance, only access cards work. I have no idea what the deal with the business office is, but I hear it's supposed to re-open. The pool company is horrible because after heavy useage the pool gets cloudy and sometimes a little green.

Those things aside,I have confidence in Amy. I think she is doing the right things to make this complex a great place to live. The rent has gone up slightly recently, but due to the changs is worth it to me. The price is still not too bad for the area. All in all I am happy with my experience at skyhawk now that Amy is the new manager.
