New management company is not a good thing

As of the first of January the property has been sold. During the previous year managemnet conducted an "annual review" of all apartments and garages to meet some city code enforcement regulations (or so we were told). It turns out that the saff was aware of the sale months prior to the change in ownership.
Once the new management compay was in place some of the "perks" of living here. began to quickly disapear. The free breakfast every Saturday morning was cut to once a month) The massage studio is closed. Happy hour was eliminated and all of the concerge(UPS services, dry cleaning and such) service are now gone. Repair service requests via the web site now take days and a follow up phone call to be handled.
Since all these services were included one would expect some rent reductions or other compensations...but none are forth comming. The staff is less than impressive and fails to meet the standards set by the past management.
I will be moving once my lease is up.

Lived here?

Agreed. There have been changes since the new management stepped in, and so far I can't see one improvement. The former management made serious efforts to have kid-friendly events (among others), but those are gone.
Will we renew our lease this year? Very hard to say. We have one or two specific reasons for staying where we are, at least for the short term. But if I had my druthers, we'd definitely be looking elsewhere.
In a nutshell, all of the perks of living here which differentiate this place from any other "roof over your head" rental place have basically been thrown out by the new management. So why would anyone contemplating a move here actually want to move here as opposed to anywhere else?

I totally agree. This place has turned into a generic apartment with a sub-par staff. They have no personalality and I really despise the guy in the office. They have stripped us of all of the perks that made living here nice and turned it into the -------- that they manage next door. If you are considering a move, DO NOT MOVE HERE!! take your money and live somewhere else that warrants Frisco rents. I totally got screwed on my renewal and I wished I would have gotten the hell out of here when I had the chance. There is nothing special about being here. when I asked about the breakfast, the business center hours and happy hour, I was told that the previous management company didn't pay thier bills and that they will go out of business. You're such a joke!! No one cares about that. We were happy before you came and we really wish that you would go back where you came from. You have not done anything signifigant since you have been here. You're not good enough to be here. Send a more polished team, manager included!!!

I totally agree with all of you...I actually work for the old management company and live at Cypress...I also use to work for awhile in the office at Cypress and I can tell you that they DID always pay their bills on time and that is just a bullshi** excuse for the new management to not offer the same services...I am also a little pissed about how our trash days got cut down from 3 to 2...that was nice! Anyway, the place is still kept up nice and we will see what else changes!

I heard they won't increase the rent for current tenant when you renew the lease(sounds like a favor.) However, they offer cheaper price to new customers..... is that weird???
