I moved here in March 2006 from Austin because of a new job. This complex was the only one nearby. I'll start with the good:
-Pretty fair rent.
-Very nice lobby, terrace, and sun deck
-Great restaurants on the bottom floor (but there needs to be more!)
-Roomy bathtubs and tall showers
-Tall ceilings
-Nice kitchen appliances.
-Quiet neighbors... a little too quiet.
-FC Dallas, concerts, and events right across the street. Girls are very impressed :)
-New park about to open downstairs by Frisco town hall.
-Professional MLS players live here, chicks dig it... I was in the elevator with freakin' Carlos Ruiz today.
And now for the CONSTRUCTIVE bad:
-Grande Communications ONLY for cable/internet... terrible... $50/month for 1.5Mbps DSL, only a handful of HD channels (no CBS or Fox), no on-demand PPV. Grande doesn't give a flying F*** about it because you HAVE to get it through them. No customer service on the weekends. The management must have a contract they signed after taking crazy pills. WHY'!'! ATT/SBC DSL: $14.99/month for 3Mbps. This would have been a deal-breaker for me if I would have known about it before signing the lease.
-Slow elevators
-Single pane windows. Train down the street is VERY loud and sun heats apartment quickly.
-Parking lot gates have never worked.
-No maintenance on weekends.
-Gym is hit or miss with equipment. The treadmills sometimes make a very loud and constant SCREETCH!
-Way too many handicap parking spots on the front street. Seriously, how many van fulls of handicap people at one time can go to Subway'
It's a great place to live for single people and most of those "bads" can be fixed if the people in the office and the management just READ IT and took care of it. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

In response to this review, I have lived at Frisco Square since May of '04 and am very pleased. As for Grande, yes, it sucks, but how was the office staff to know that they were going to be terrible when signing the contracts with them?? Completely not their fault. The parking lot gates did work at one time...there are so many ways to get in though, who cares if the gates work or not? As for the maintenance...I work for an apartment management company. We have emergency maintenance on the weekends as does every other apartment community that you will ever live in. The apartments have not been kept up as well since the last maintenance guy moved, (he kept the place really clean...)but we do have emergency maint on the weekends!! As for the parking spots, residents are not supposed to park on that side anyway. We have covered parking for us!!! Anyway, I just felt like I needed to respond.

I care if the gates work or not!!!!! That is one of the amenities we pay for. In spite of all the bad things that are posted above, atleast if all of our amenities we pay for are in working order and taken care of then the bad things can be overlooked. One of the reasons I moved here was because of the secure area. I need a gate that works!!!!!! Bottom line.
