Do not move to Frisco Square

I've lived here about a year & renewed my lease ONLY because I didn't want to deal with finding a new place and moving everything. These apts are in a convenient location for me, but they are not that great considering how much money I shell out to live here!!
There is really NO parking because all the shop owners & employees take the liberty in parking in the resident lot even though there is a lot about 4 times bigger than ours right behind the gates!! Yet the office gives one car per apt a sticker to be able to park in the gated area'!' I don't get why we need if anyone and everyone is going to park in our lot!
The hot tub NEVER works. I've never known of it working and I've lived here over a year.
There are ALWAYS cigarette buds all over the sidewalk and lots. It's disgusting!
To renew is costs even MORE than you paid before....I always thought the rent dropped slightly because they want AND encourage you to stay...you thought so too'.....NO. NOT here!
Since they built the new apts next to City Hall, they are all about getting people in those and aren't concerned with the original building. I once asked if it were acceptable to get a satellite for TV on the balcony or even a portable one so there would be no drilling...and I was denied. There is CURRENTLY a NEW satellite TV on a balcony in my building!! Seriously....I don't know what goes on in that office, or what is wrong with the communication but the info is inaccurate half the time or BS. These apts are advertised as a gated community...a lie....the gates are NEVER closed. They supposedly aren't "allowed" to close them. What the hell are they there for then!!! So that is one safety feature that is not safe at all. The back door doesn't always close all the way & is usually open for anyone to enter. Again...another safety feature that doesn't work. The lights outside are out half the time, or just don't come on...I don't know! Another safety feature that's crap. If you have pets they are given only one small area to use the bathroom on...the strip of grass between the two buildings. That is not enough room to walk your dogs unless you make multiple passes up and down it & half the time the dogs are scared because cars are going by, people are walking, eating, music is playing....a dog can NOT concentrate on going to the bathroom with all this going on around them!
If you're thinking about moving here...DON'T. There are many other choices around this area if location is what interests you. There are more cons I could list but these are the most relevant and important to me right now. Especially the PARKING. Everyone SHOULD have the right to park in a spot they are paying for and not have everyone else parking there just because they think they can and it's safe. It's BS when I get home and there is NO parking....especially going into the winter months! The one thing I will say I love about these apts is there is an elevator. It's especially well for when you have a ton of groceries...& especially if you have to park half a mile away because the spots are all taken...the elevator can be your best friend some days.

I lived there for two years and recently moved. It sounds like they have changed some fees. However, I did pay the trash fee.

Thanks for the feedback. We are very sensitive to pricing our product and are always canvassing the market to get benchmarks for both the types of fees we charge and the rates. Whenever we are granting concessions for moving into a unit we traditionally begin those concessions the first full month of occupancy. As a result, if someone moves in mid month they will pay the prorated market rent for that month and then the concessions begin the next month. That seems to be consistent with other communities in the area. As it relates to trash fees, those have been charged by nearly everyone for many years. I don't think we are doing anything out of the norm on those. In fact most other communities make you take the trash to the dumpster rather than down the hall to a chute. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. We make it a priority for all of our residents to have a world class experience living in Frisco Square. I am sorry we dissappointed you.

We just moved into the complex. Absolutely beautiful, and yes, we had to pay a prorated amount for the first month and yes, it was the market rent. Big darn deal, the difference between a prorated amount for market rent vs. the special for the lease amount is negligible. As for the trash fee, this is the first time I have had to pay for a trash fee. And for the JOY of being able to drop my trash off down a shoot instead of walking down the hall, down the staris, outside, and then to the dumpster and then BACK, I am okay with it. If you don't like it go away. :)
