Bad choice - Our horror story
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 4/11/2006
Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
We had a wide range of problems while living here. Parking is a nightmare, management is rude and will post things all apartments in the complex several times a week explaining actions that they will have to take if certain people don't clean up after pets, make noises, etc. While we lived here we had our air conditioner fall through the ceiling (No, I'm not kidding) during August, our heater break in December, and we remained very understanding that these things happen. Then we had a pipe break because the apartment failed in their mainteance duties (not our assessment, but the fire departments.) The pipe broke and ruined an entire room (computer, personal items, etc.) and we had to fight Holly for some type of compensation. We got some, (fraction of the damage) and then they came after us hardcore. We decided to move (these apartments motivate you to buy a house) and, as we always do, work to leave the apartment as clean as possible. We even hired an outside cleaning service. Holly sent us a bill for $700 to redo all the carpets and threatened damaging our credit if we did not pay. I've lived in 7 different apt complexes and never received over $100 charge from any of them once vacating. I would highly recommend not living in these apartments. They are unethical and take little responsiblity with their actions.
