This property attracted me initially because it was a carbon copy of a layout I had while living at the same exact style complex (differen't property Mgmt company) in the Houston area.
However, BEWARE, the Management Team here is one of incompetence and not just on one occasion but numerous occasions. The actual complex on it's own merritt is fairly nice in comparison, but turns out to be quite the experience when dealing with the Management Team.
My experience 1st started with the parking. This is a challenge that is sometimes common in any complex, but the way it was addressed with the residents was absolutely negligent. It started with the addition of assigned car ports that were built in effort to address the lack of parking. This was a good move; However, the project took months and months to complete and they blocked off more then one entire parking area (blocks of parking)while in the buildout phase. This translated to a much larger problem. They should have completed one block or area at a time to minimize the inconvenience to residents. In addition, we had no communication on progress, lack of signage, paint overspray, complete confusion on where and when you could park in these spaces during and at the conclusion of construction. Eventually these were completed, at which time they began to rent the spaces and again not much in the way of communication. To add injury to insult, my vehicle was towed while I was home with no adequate warning. Several of the residents were towed in the same manor. Some space had reserved parking signage and others did not. The space I was in had no signage and my vehicle was towed. Fortunately I took numerous photos all through the process, documented my communication and their lack of. I contacted the Mgmt Team and after numerous phone calls and emails to the complex and corporate office I received an offer from them to discount my rent. I did not accept the offer, but have since contacted an attorney to pursue the matter further of which is in the works. Did this happen to anyone else' If so, you may want to get in on this.
Imagine if you parked on a city street in front of your house, the city comes along plants a sign in the ground with no adequate warning, and tows your vehicle within hours. Thats what we are talking about here in a nutshell.
Also, beware of the clause that you must move your vehicle every 72 hours if it is not parked in an assigned space. Now for us business folks that travel out of town for up to a week at a time this poses a problem. Several business professionals live in this complex.
They have also designated some stalls in the far Southwest corner of the complex for visitor parking. This means that visitors must walk a long distance if they are visiting a resident on the other side of the complex. This isn't necessarily a safe thing to do with recent concerns identified by law enforcement, that have taken place at local appartment complexes. To make it even more confusing, there are spaces marked visitor spaces, which according to their flyers, should not be used as visitor parking, as it is only permitted in the Southeast corner of the complex.
Most recently, I spoke with them on renewing the lease (haven't had time to look for a new location which is my own fault considering) at which time they verbally stated that I could renew for a 6 month term at XXX price, only to call me back and say they couldn't renew for anything less then a 10 month lease. As a perk for renewal they are offering residents a choice of an upgrade on tile, a carpet cleaning, or a light kit (not a bad deal right). This reminded me that I never took advantage on my pryor renewal of the same offer. So I asked if I could do a light kit and a carpet cleaning, only to be denied! Another example of their attitude towards residents (AKA the customer). What a poor way to do business.
Also beware of privacy issues. They will litterally leave your lease agreement on your front door step. They have done this even after I asked them to hold it in the office for pick-up. So there sat all my personal information in an envelope proped up against the door, which was unbelievable.
There are several guidelines and laws that are to be followed by appartment complexes in the State of Texas, to include adequate notice to residents of changes (i.e. parking). This Mgmt Team seems to have a complete and total disregard or ignorance to these, not to mention how the residents are treated on a day to day basis. At what point does this get addressed at a higher level' What does it take to get the property management company to react and make some changes at this property'

Hi,
I read your review and I can't believe...I thought it was me writing this!!! Can you believe that with this parking problem, they are using much needed parking spaces to build a basketball court so all the kids can congregate there and disturb the residents. I am worried because I work nights and am home during the day. I live near where the basketball court is being built. It makes no sense. I came home the other night and could not park near my apartment. I wish they would put parking there instead of a basketball court. It is a logical solution but logical is a term they do not use. I cannot believe that Terri girl is still working there. If her manager only knew how she treated the tenants when no one else is around. I agree she can lease an apt. but who can't!!! This is the only thing she is good far and when she gets your lease, she is the rudest person. I don't guess management cares and she certainly doesn't. It is obvious she is a very unhappy person who brings her problems to work with her. It is so time for her to go. There are so many nice people out there that would love to have her job. She is so dumb and always wants to be right. She had never been right about any situation. I avoid going to the office so I don't ruin my day running into such a negative, rude, arrogant little girl who needs to grow up and treat other people with respect. MANAGEMENT: Why do you keep her? Everyone I talk to feels the same way. One lady that moved out called her EVIL!!! When this basketball court is built I am going to see a lawyer to have my lease broken because I also like my week-ends and sometimes take a nap on the week-ends. This will interfere with my "quiet time" at home. All the kids with their bikes will be riding and congregating there. Instead of a playground, how about adding needed parking so I don't have to walk from the other side of the aparments and through 2 gates to get to my apartment. This is a security issue. Is someone going to have to get raped or robbed before anyone does anything about this real problem!!!

I have something to say to the bozo who wrote this response on 3-20-08.YOU are the one that needs to go,not Terrie. All the residents that I have talked to that live here LOVE her.Anyone that would write such a hateful response is the miserable one with no life to speak of.If her manager did see the way she treated tenants when no one else is around, I am sure she would get a gold star.Terrie is the reason I moved into this community so based on what you wrote, it sounds like you are the unhappy person.Oh, and if you do not like the parking, get a carport or a garage.Parking is an issue at almost every apartment community in Frisco, so deal with it.I have lived in several apartment communities in my lifetime and none of them have had the best parking arrangements. It sounds like you are so miserable that you need to try and bring some one else down, and poor Terrie is your target.MANAGEMENT:I totally see why you keep her.She is a joy to deal with.Oh, another thing-whoever wrote this has as much education as a 3 year old because you cannot spell.I like your sentence that says(This is the only thing she is good FAR.)Ha, what a joke of a person you are. I would not take much stock in what this person has to say who is the one that is dumb-not Terrie.Let me assure everyone that Terrie is a true professional who does know her job well. She probably is right about what ever situation arises because she has got a great head on her shoulders, which is more than I can say for you.I hope Terrie stays around for a long, long time.

My husband and I moved in to the apartment complex close to a year ago. The location is extremely convenient, and well kept. On the other hand, the Terri character we keep referring to isn't exactly a doll as portrayed in 3-29-08's response. I am 17 and married, I hold a lease with my husband, when I go to use the internet cafe, when she is there I am promptly removed. She has done it several times and until I brought her my marriage certificate she continued to do so. I was completely offended, in fact I now reside in austin just waiting for the nightmare I once called a home to run out.
