Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
Lived at this property for two years, and literally, counted the minutes until I could leave.
1.) Parking is a joke. There is no parking. I had to get a garage and a paid covered spot that was always occupied by someone else. I had to leave ugly notes and call the office many times. The office told me that it was my responsibility, and they gave me stickers to put on other peoples' cars. Pretty crappy. Garage door broke twice; was assigned the wrong garage which was already occupied. I had a friend that moved in and was on a waiting list for a garage for over a year. The complex would hang banners over empty garages, but never called the people on this so-called list. Why have a waiting list if you're going to give the garages away to someone else. They're always keeping "lists" for no reason.
2.) It used to be a nice property when Lincoln managed it. The place plummeted when Graystar came in. The folks at Austin Ranch told me that Graystar managed thier property for a year, and they were fired for the poor job they were doing. I believe it after seeing how they are at St. Charles. They are rude, unresponsive, arrogant, and children.
3.) The front gate was always broken, and the back gate is always open. What's the point''
4.) They obviously lowered their standards because when Lincoln left, people moved in that didn't take care of their things, were inconsiderate, partiers/young, and the crime started. There was never any crime when Lincoln was there.
5.) They will stick you when you move out. They will try to charge you for the carpet everytime, even though it's replaced anyway. I guaratee that you will not get your deposit back. They are greedy (evidenced by the rise in surcharges for everything, including trash removal, which was always free/included.)
6.) My friend got so sick of the bull, that he left. On his move-out day, they left an evicition notice on the door!!!! Huh'!'! They threatened to evict him for non-payment of rent when he already paid the prorated rent for the ten days of that month that he lived there. When he called to find out what was going on, it took days to get it resolved. The guy in the office who gave it to him, come to find out, was fired.
This place is a joke. If you move in here, you are just plain stupid.
Also, what's up with the management posts' It shows their lack of integrity by posting anonymously to boost their ratings. If you look at Graystar's webpage, all you will see is investment information...nothing for their thousands of residents. I've had to hunt down the Regional Manager's number, and after four calls and a letter, I still never heard back from her. Typical of Graystar's culture.
You have been warned...Don't believe the hype...run for your life.
