I lived in Silverado for 3 years and saw 4 different management companies go through (not completely unique from what I know of apartments). The 3rd management company was great, they tried their hardest to take care of everything in a timely manner and replace and fix all my issues - they even replaced my carpet that the previous managers wouldn't! Unfortunately, when the 4th one came around the management changed completely. They painted all the buildings some rather nasty colors and allowed the company to park a trailer in 3 parking spots. Now let me tell you - parking was awful there, and losing three spots was a big deal. There were days I ended up parking in the middle of the back of the apartment complex when I lived in the front, or I'd end up in the front of the complex, outside of the gate! As a single female in a city that had a rape/robbery at an apartment complex 3 miles down the road, I was scared to walk that far late at night. I complained about the trailer and the manager advised me that corporate made the decision. I emailed the corporate the office with my complaint and they forwarded it to the same person! In the email was a complaint about the manager because of her rude attitude. I found out she was the district manager as well, and the corporate company would have done that to anyone - the problem was that it would make it impossible to get any good response to your complaints because the person you talked to was the person the complaint was forwarded to. The other issue was the walls are paper thin. You can't help that one, that's just the way it was built, so they can't help that one - that's just a warning to anyone who is interested. Also, since this is a family town there were kids running around all over the place. The manager said they would try to control them, but they still were out of control. I know its hard for a manager to take care of that - but still - just a warning again. I will say the maintence guys were helpful and always took care of my requests. It was one of the few positive things about the complex. In general, for the price of the apartments, in my opinion, its not worth it. It's been about 5 months since I've lived there, maybe its changed, but things like parking, kids, and thin walls can't be fixed. I felt lucky that I got out when I did though, I was finishing up my moving and saw that the person moving in next to me was a family with 3 kids - one of them skateboarding down the middle of the road. Missed that bomb! Oh - yeah - the bigger one bedrooms sit next to 3 bedroom apartments, so single and young non-kid couples end up living to familys with 2-3 kids. That didn't help the noise problem.

Your going to get thin walls families and bad parking in almost any apartment complex. Your home is what you make it. If you don't like noise, don't move into an apartment complex. Go to a town home or duplex. Same goes for parking. And as far as safety goes.... this is Frisco people. I was born and raised in South Houston. Believe me, Frisco is paradise in comparison. I see all these complaints on here and they are all very petty and silly. I don't know. I guess I'm just a city boy who has had to put up with worse. To each is own I guess. Thanks for the info.

That's enough taking up for your own failures as well as the failures of Sherman Residential. You are a joke and need to be demoted to a propert in the ghettos where you belong.
