After living here over a year I am definitely ready to move on...
There are pros and cons with everything.

PROS: I think the grounds are well kept, the maintenance follows through will most of the requests i've made, the office staff seem very friendly and willing to assist. I have a garage so I don't have to worry about parking.

CONS: I think the rent is overpriced...I'm paying $1200 for a 3BDRM (which is why i'm buying a house - the sqft will almost double and I'll have a lower payment).

The apartment I'm in is poorly constructed.
I have mold growing in the one of the bedrooms and everytime it rains there's water coming through the top corner of the ceiling. I had mushrooms growing on the floor in the same corner. When the maintenance came to look at it they told me there is a leak from outside of the building (yeah, i already knew that).
When I had a $240 electric bill for 3 months in a row I called the electric company thinking there was some type of meter reading error. They asked me what I had my heater at and when I told them 75, they said I should have my thermostat set to 65 or lower (when we had that cold spell in the teens). I told the electric company that my previous "house" bill was never that high and I had 3000 sqft, they told me houses are better insulated.

The noise is a bit ridiculous sometimes and those of you who have no complaints...are you on the 3rd floor' I'm on the second floor with my garage on the first floor. I hear bumping & pounding everytime someone moves to the 3rd floor apartments above me (which seems to be a lot of people moving in and out) just yesterday morning there was someone above me vacuuming and bumping into things at 3am. I occasionally work from home and I would have to say there was a child above me because all day it would sound like someone was running back and forth across the room and then I would here something crashing to the floor. Not to mention music playing all hours of the night with the sound of bass booming.

This is the first apartment that i've lived in so I do not have a comparison, but for the price I would definitely expect better living conditions....
