I have lived at Sonsrena for 2 years, and at first it seemed like a nice place to live-the residents consisted of elders and families. Mostly a low key property. About 8 months ago, I started noticing that shady characters were starting to occupy the property-walking around the property all hours of the night. When dealing with the staff, I would suggest only talking to the manager-Kendall. Everyone else was quite rude and could not answer your questions. Just recently, a neighbor brought to my attention that the maintence guy-Brian-had entered her apartment, when she was not home-without notifying her-and when he was at the back door through the garage-she came home and was scared to death to find a man she didnt know in her apartment-he then told her he was in the wrong apartment-then she said she watched him enter my garage-no note was left so I have no idea what he was doing there. I had another neighbor tell me she was gone one day and came home to a note that stated he had been there-but did not state the reason. It is my understanding that when anyone of the staff enter your apartment, they must notify you first, and leave paperwork as to why they were there. I dont know about you-but sometimes I leave money or jewelry out-and I dont feel comfortable having to hide my belongings everytime I leave-in case someone randomly decides they want to enter my apartment.
Also, you cannot choose your electricity provider-you have to go with Co-Serv-which annoyingly does this called "operation roundup" where they round up your bill to the nearest dollar....where is that extra $$ going''' The lawnmowers also come on Saturday's at 8am. Really'' Saturday's!!!
I have observed many underage individuals drinking and smoking marijuana around the property as well-causing disturbances. There are police constantly there, patroling the premises-giving a very unsafe feeling to be living there. They will respond to any calls-and harass the residents who are actually not causing trouble-why are they not questioning these underage people doing drugs out in the open'' One night my neighbors son who was back from Iraq, came to visit his mother-who was a resident-and a police officer stopped in front of the gate to block the gate...assuming he should not enter...for whatever reason. It seems they target certain people (yes, minority's of different races other than whites)because they are bored.
I would not recommend living at Sonsrena. I can't wait to get out of my lease, which is up next year!!!!!!

I have had the same happen to me except they did leave a note saying they were here to change the air filter. I don't like the idea of anyone entering my place if I don't request it even if they did leave a note. If I need something I will request it. I change my own air filters with better quality ones than they use. I am thankful though that my lease is ending in a few months and I get to get out of here. Wish all those waiting to get out alot of luck and if you aren't living here, STAY AWAY or you will be sorry

As Property Manager I would like to start by letting you know that we appreciate all of our residents input. Only after written notice has been posted on a resident??s front door for at least 24 hours will maintenance staff enter to do preventative maintenance. At the time of service the maintenance staff is required to leave a note letting the resident know what was done and for what reason. I would like to stress that our criteria for renting an apartment has not changed since Village Green took over managing Sonsrena in 2004. We continue to run background checks on all residents before anyone is approved to lease.
At Sonsrena we are passionate to provide unsurpassed customer service. Our office staff is prepared, knowledgeable, and eager to assist in meeting and exceeding our resident??s expectations. We value our resident??s feedback. In fact, every year we send out an anonymous resident survey asking our residents how they feel about the property and staff to continue to provide an exemplary place of residence. I am proud to say that for the 3rd year in a row the staff at Sonsrena has received the Customer Service Award of Excellence. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns.
I was not aware of this person??s issues and I would like to have the opportunity to meet with them and resolve any problems they may have.
Kind Regards,
Kendall Elliott
Property Manager

Regardless of the rules & procedures that are supposed to be followed-they are not!!! And who issues this Customer Service Award of Excellence anyway? Must not have any stiff competition! Keep your staff out of our apartments!!!

I happen to live at Sonsrena and have been for the past year and a half. I absolutely love the staffing in the office. Everyone is so nice and curtious. They always address my concerns in a timely manner. If I need something fixed in my apartment, it's completed within 24 hours. The maintanance staff is wonderful. The property is always well maintained and the landscapers do a good job. I have two dogs and they love it hear as well! This property is very pet friendly. I would recommend Sonsrena to anyone who enjoys living in a peaceful, clean environment! The complex is very family friendly and there are always monthly activities to enjoy. I plan on living here for a while!
