I live here now, my friend recently moved out of another apt. Her apt was immaculate when she moved. They did the walk through with her and only noted on the sheet that there were some nail holes.All signed off, no problem.

Then they told her they were charging her $25 for the gate clicker because she didn't have the ring that goes on it. Just the clicker.

Now they want to charge her $40 for a carpet tear and several other misc things that toal about $200. None of which was on the walk through sheet at the end of her lease!

She lived there for 3 years.

I am moving out in less than 60 days and if this place thinks they can pull that on me...let them try. If you ask for a copy of the walk through sheet and have everyone's signature on it, there should be NO legal way for them to pull that on you. They can't come up to you after you sign off on everything and try to charge you later because they feel like it.
