Stewart Creek Apartments are the most affordable apartment complex in the area, and we have looked at neighboring residences pretty thoroughly. They offer great floorplans, garden tubs, and the oportunity to have a garage or covered parking. We have lived in the largest 1 bedroom for over two years, and we like the experience overall.

That is not to say that everything is not terrific. We have the apartment from Hell...the people who lived in our apartment before us did not take care of it. The disposal has been replaced, they had to reseal the doors because you could see outside of them from the frame, the dishwasher has gone out, the refridgerator has needed tweaking, our bathroom sink does not close, and our bath tub knob does not always turn off and we have to tighten it with the screw driver. Maintenance has been supportive and responsive, and most of the times things have been fixed quite well.

When they repainted the apartments, they did not tell us what day they were doing our building and just threw our pation funriture around haphazardously. Damage was done to it as well as paint marks permanently marking it. When we complained to the office, their response was that "we are only allowed one pation chair and plants on the patio, and nothing beyond that is even approved." How frustrating...we had a bar table with 2 barstools and a wicker chair with ottoman, plants, and decorative pots.

Another frustration is that we received a notice for leaving garbage on our front door step. We were massively cleaning house all day, and set ONE bag on the doorstep get out of the way and take down later. A couple of hours later, we opened the door to find a lease violation on it. It was very frustrating and I find inappropriate.

The last concern we have is a household living across the parking lot from us. They have people coming and going 24 hours a day, some leaving the car running while they run in and bring something back out to the car (suspecting drugs). It feels unsafe at night sometimes when walking the dog.

I like the apartment complex and appreciate the rates we receive. Other friends who live here have not had the problems we had, so I think we have the bad luck of the draw with our apartment. I get frustrated because they do not seem consistent with their rules, but I just follow them and am make due.

We allow you to have as much patio furniture as you like as long as it is proper patio furniture. Also, we put notices on all buildings letting you know when we would be painting asking that you remove all items from your patio and that the property nor the painting company would be responsible for any damages if not removed. As for the trash outside your door, there is no way our employees would know how long the trash had been sitting there.

Hey management... How 'bout this. Wouldn't it have been a whole lot more effective for your employee to have knocked on YOUR CUSTOMER'S door first and inquired about the trash bag, before just silently writing out a lease violation and plastering it to the door?

Which approach do you think would result in a more cooperative attitude, in the future, from your customer-tenants?

Part of being in a position of authority is knowing when to use descretion and judgement in taking punitive, enforcement action. A manager inexperienced with effective customer service techniques invokes a penalty simply because they CAN vs. because it is the best course of action to achieve a desired, positive result.

The apparently, flippant, unsympathetic response from the staffer above, only further demonstrates an antagonistic, aversarial approach this manager has decided to take with her CUSTOMERS, that keep her employeed in her chosen career. Might want to consider that for a moment, next time before you automatically whip out the violation book.

Posted by a retired, 20 yr. police officer, who has learned the difference between "turning the screws" on a person just because you CAN vs. because the severity of the situation warrants that degree of enforcement to gain conpliance.

I'm on this site looking for a new apt. home now. The fact that this management team chose to post this type of response to their client's aggrevation, is making me think twice about leasing here at Stewart Creek.
