We moved into the complex just a month ago and we are already counting the days before our lease is up. The day we showed up with our movers, the carpet was SOAKED...not just a little damp, but squishy wet! We had to let our national movers leave all of our stuff in the garage and move it our selves the next day when the carpet was finally wet. In both bathrooms, the caulking around the tubs was horrible. They obviously just caulked over the previous tenents mildew and mold. The caulking in the master bath..to this day...and after a fifth visit, is still not curing properly. We are waiting about 4 days after each of their visits before using the shower again, and it is still not sealing. So basically, after $1,200 a month in rent..and over 30 days later, and we still cannot use our master bath.
One of the most disturbing things are the ants. We have not only invested about $30 of our own money on pest control products, but have had the apartments pest control out twice. We still are finding nearly a hundred ants a day. We are very clean and anally organized people. To us, having bugs is the most uncomfortable thing EVER!!!
Our 3rd night in the apartment brought us another wet suprise. We were watching a movie and my husband got up to use the restroom and immediately screamed for me...the entire master bath and half of the master bedroom was FLOODED. The fill valve on the toilet failed. We were up until 11:45pm waiting for the carpet people to come to fix the carpet. Nevermind that not a single person from maintence showed up to fix the toilet for FOUR DAYS...but we had to live with a fan blowing carpet dust and ants everywhere for those days before the carpet was fixed.
The most disappointing thing about the apartments is the staff. Shea is very rude and promises things that never happen. When we call about something still not being fixed..that we have now been waiting a month on, her response is like we are inconveniencing her....um..if they had it done correctly to begin with, I would not be calling. Do your jobs and you won;t have to worry about it!! Chanel has nothing but attitude and is SO rude on the phone. Deborah-the manager-never responds to messages left for her and does not seem to care that an apartment was leased in such poor shape...or care that things still are not fixed with work orders! I can't believe that any of the staff would put up with such an incompentent maintenence staff or even let themselves appear so unprofessional. All's I can do is let others know what they may get into here...I know not all experiences are bad, but for us, this place has been a diaster!
