The 'make ready' process is a joke- the bathroom was disgusting and the carpet was still dirty when we moved in. There was mold and soap scum under the soap holder in our bathroom. The 'work' that has been done in the apt is sloppy. Caulk is smeared; dents in walls are just painted over.


Basically- there are many perks such as the ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom; plus washer/dryer units- that's a great deal. The crown molding and bookshelf are nice, too.

However, there are so many things that show that mgmt really hasn't taken care of the apt complex well. The faucets and sink look worn out; there is caulk hardened on the faucets; the sink in the kitchen has stains that don't come out. Just not really well-kept overall.

In this area, you would think they would make sure the apt is in tip top shape, considering the location. If you are thinking you're going to get a 'status' apt just because of the location...keep looking.

The elec bill here is HIGH. We've talked with other tenants and they all say the same thing. Other tenants who have 1 bdrm units still get elec bills over $120- that's crazy for apt living.

There is 1 maintenance guy that actually does a good job. The others are lazy and will either lie that the work is done or just give you an excuse why it can't be fixed.

The dog run is a nice touch for dog owners- but mgmt does not do anything to enforce the policy that owners need to clean up after their dogs. There is dog feces all around - very disgusting. You often see the ground people trying to clean things up- it really should be the owners of the dogs who should be responsible but I guess they feel that mgmt isn't going to do anything about it. That's really sad.

Mgmt does not enforce trash being set out earlier than allowed so get used to seeing trash set out days before the actual pick up days. Again, another example of how mgmt really doesn't do anything to ensure that the complex stays clean.

The walls are thin. You can hear conversations in other units if the neighbors are sitting on the balcony and you are inside. They don't have to be loud- the windows are just that poorly insulated. If you live on the 1st floor, get used to hearing every step your neighbor takes above you. Also, from your bathroom, you can hear the water running when your neighbor uses their washing machine or flushes their toilet. That's how thin the walls are. No exaggeration.
