I found in my 2 years living at the Vintage that the staff was ok. Not overly friendly. I'm certain that not one of them knew who I was. Any maintenance issues were repaired in a reasonable amount of time. My rent did go up by quite a bit after my first year, but the increase did not equal as much as the cost of moving elsewhere, so I stayed. Turnover is very high, although I can't understand that considering that rent at a lease of less than 1 year is a good $400 higher than rent with a 1 year lease.
My apartment was a very large one-bedroom, and was on the 2nd and 3rd floor of my building. This loft-style apartment caused some really high electric bills ($300 a month was NOT unusual). If I had it to do over again, I would not have chosen this floorplan. Having said that, any visitors I had said they loved the way the apartment looked. And it had an extra 1/2 bath on the lower floor that came in handy. I really liked my apartment itself; if it had not been for some of the issues with the community and the high electric bills, I might still live there.
Parking is a serious problem for this complex. I believe that my building, or at lease part of my building, had 8 units and only 3 spaces and 2 garages. If the same is true for most of the complex, that would explain having to park on the opposite part of the complex if you don't come straight home from work and never leave after 5 pm.
One of the most annoying things about living at the Vintage was the maintenance of the PUBLIC areas. They were not as well attended as my apartment. The gate was out of order frequently. In fact, the gate just stays open from about 5 pm until after 7. What kind of security is that' The magnetic doors that lead to the gym never worked with my opener. It was so frustrating to pay for that amenity and NEVER be able to use it.
When I moved out, I was charged very heavy cleaning fees, although I felt that I had done a good job cleaning my apartment.
