My job needed to relocate me and I was needing help from them in any way to end my lease. They are not willing to work with you. No matter the cercumstance or situation they care nothing about there tenants. They are a check coming in and not residents.

At least they don't make you payback 2 years worth of specials. No community will let you out of the lease once you sign. The Military Clause is the only way to get out of a lease easily. There are other ways that you can get out, but you would have to get a lawyer involved. Once you initial those 6 pages saying that you agree to pay rent for 12 months, you are legally bound by that document. Kinda sucks that they can do that...but it is in the small black writing that only 2 people (in my experience) have taken the time to sit down and READ word for word. Those leases are interesting if you ever get a free chance to go through one, I would encourage youto do so. There is so much in there that you could use to your advantage.
