I lived here for almost 2 years. My car has been vandalized twice! Along with a few of my neighbors who have had their tires slashed, car scratched & spray painted!! I have had children destroy my laundry while being washed! My neighbors have a nightly routine of fighting outside (screaming profanity). They will let any criminal move in here! I have seen the SWAT team out here & numerous officers searching to serve warrants. I can't even enjoy the pool in the summer time because there are usually 15 kids in there who do not even live here! My experience at Ashton Place has been horrible. Things have went downhill now that they accept Section 8! ALSO BEWARE OF THE KATRINA EVACUEES! It's pretty sad when you don't feel safe in your own home. I recommend NEVER move in here! The place used to be nice but now it's hell on earth.

You are a BIGOT, plain and simple! You've made statements that basically suggest the problem is with people who receive Section 8, rather than with the mangement of your complex. Daily I watch news reports of filthy rich folks who trash hotel rooms and burn down houses. I live in SF, am a paralegal with a B.A. degree who has had Section 8 for 15 years. I am clean and my son, now grown, is in medical school. You really need to GROW up and learn not to catalog people. Bigotry becomes no one!

If you have really lived on Section 8 for 15 years YOU SHOULD BE OUT WORKING TO PAY YOUR BILLS instead of online critizing me. What kind of respectable person lives off of the Government for that long. My tax dollars are paying your rent. Section 8 should be temporary assistance NOT life-long. You are pathetic. Hopefully your kids finishes up so they can support you. AND YES, most of Section 8 people are GHETTO & will make the place HORRIBLE to live. If Ashton Place HAD any chance for redeeming itself IT NO LONGER does... now Hurricane Katrina evacuees have taken over... there is NO HOPE... NEVER MOVE THERE unless your content living this kind of life... if you like peace then move somewhere else!
