Broadwater is OK as far as appearance and safety. Office staff is not very helpful, especially the manager, Judy. She seems annoyed anytime she has to deal with residents.

Maintenance staff are mediocre, they come and go from inside your apartment as they please. I lived there three years and my lease said that a notice would be left anytime staff entered your apartment while you were gone. I'd come home and find lights on, or my a/c filter replaced, or find that they had a "suprise inspection" but no notice would ever be left.

They are very overpriced for what you get. Amenities are limited, appliances are old, and maintenance doesn't do a good job at fixing problems. My kitchen sink leaked for about two weeks before someone came out, and my dishwasher was broken the whole time I lived there. Judy told me that they would come out and fix it, but they never did. I turned it in several times over the first two years, and nothing was ever done, so I gave up.

Two of the four burners on my stove didnt work. Judy told me it was cost-prohibitative to replace the whole stove just because two burners didnt work.

The water line to the ice maker started leaking behind the fridge. Management's solution was to turn off the water to the ice maker.

Laundry Room -- take your laundry elsewhere. Don't leave anything unattended or it will dissapear. I lost more than my fair share of towels, sheets, and jeans over the years by leaving my stuff unattended.

When they put new siding on my building a year ago it caused leaks around the windows. I turned it into maintenance but they didnt fix it == they just painted over the watermarks. The sheetrocking started to flake off, and they painted over that. THEN when I moved out they tried to charge me for the damage caused by the leak -- I still have not paid them. I should NOT have to pay for something that they came out and looked at FOUR TIMES..

There's not much of a noise problem.

The landscaping is rather blah. They maintain the landscaping around the entrance but in the rest of the complex its dying. When a plant dies, they don't replace it. They also dug up a hibiscus near my apartment so they could move it out front near the leasing office.

The pool is nice. The hottub rarely works. It bubbles but doesn't heat. The "clubhouse" is never open.

Workout room is OK, except for the broken treadmills.
