We are paying extra rent right now in order to have an ocean view. A new hotel was just built and there is no inkling of an ocean any longer. We asked if our rent would be reduced and the main company that manages this property said NO. Then on top of the extra money we pay with no view they have now decided to increase everyones rent. Ours is going up $40 a month. Other tenants are going up as much as $60/month. We have never payed rent late, have never had any complaints against us and have been good renters for the past year we have been living here. Because of this increase all our neighbors are moving. Most of us are students and an extra $40-$60 a month is very difficult to find. What is more frustrating is that in return for being responsible and good tenants we are being penalized by a large rent increase, especially when we are renting an apartment where we are paying for an ocean view that is now non existant and after being informed of this the management is still not willing to consider the fact that they are currently over charging us because of the view and they are still not willing to work with us on the price increase. The complex is nice but from everyone we have talked to(our neighbors) the only option is to find a new home unless something is done about this overly high rent increase. Not to mention that the noise from the construction begins every morning around 5 or 6 and is even present on the weekends. There is dust and dirt being thrown all over everyones cars in the parking lot and the noise is a constant everyday problem all day long. Also something management might want to consider before trying to get people to pay more for an apartment .

WOW....I AGREE WITH YOU THERE! SOMEONE SAID BROADWATER IS A GOOD PLACE FOR STUDENTS TO STUDY. I DEFINATELY DO NOT AGREE TO THAT WITH ALL THAT CONSTRUCTION GOING ON. I DON'T KNOW WHO WOULD WANT TO LIVE THERE NOW....IT IS NOT FAIR TO YOU ALL! DANG....AND I THOUGHT I HAD IT BAD WHERE I AM AT. I AM ALMOST WONDERING IF STAYING HERE IS BEST WITH ALL THE CRIME AND EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ELSE. I HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL MY EFFORTS IN FINDING A PLACE....I HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS....AND HAVE AGREED ON ALL OF THE ABOVE AFTER VISITING EACH OF THESE PLACES IN THE DAY TO MEET THE STAFF AND AT NIGHT TO CHECK OUT WHAT'S BEHIND THE SPOTLIGHT.
