Don't Be Fooled

Don't be fooled by the model they show you. This place is overpriced and they never fix things. I have lived here 9 months and I plan to move out when my lease is up.
My dishwasher has NEVER worked. It barely sprays water, and the stuff on the top rack doesn't even get wet. The icemaker in my fridge was broken when I moved in, they promised to fix it and took it out. The replacement is "still on order" -- 9 months later!!!!!!!
My toilet is constantly backing up. I don't know how many times I've awaken in the middle of the night to hear it gurgling and starting to overflow. Maint. came out and sent a wire "snake" down it, but it still does it at least 3 times a month.
The knob on my bathtub faucet came off. When I turned it in to be fixed, they replaced it with a large metal nut and bolt. When I complained, they said they would take care of it.....still waiting.
The assistant Linda is ok, but the office manager Judy is the most unpleasant person I have ever had at any apartment I have lived at! She is always rude when you walk in, and whenever a resident approaches her, she acts annoyed like you are beneath her. She also parks in handicapped spots when there's no parking in the front lot (and there never is parking because parking regulations aren't enforced). I live near where she parks and I have heard her come in at night, very drunk, being very noisy getting out of her car. One of the police officers who's girlfriend lived here said she had gotten a DWI from Galv. Police Department a few months back. If this is true, talk about quality employees!
The landscaping near the entrance is kept up, but once you walk between the units, there are lots of dead/dying plants and its generally unkept. Stuff dies and they either leave it or cut it off at the root. Nothing is replaced. No money is expended beyond making the complex entrance look nice.
My kitchen phone jack is useless because its been painted over so many times, and the varnish on the cabinets in the kitchen is peeling off in sheets. They seriously need to replace all the cabinets. There is a leak around one of my windows, and nice mold is growing. They sheetrock and paint periodically starts to flake away, but they just paint over it.
Stuff is constantly stolen from the washing room.
For the amount this complex charges, they are absolutely crap. If I was paying 300 or 400/month rent, I could understand the problems (you get what you pay for), but one bedroom units go for 700-800/month....overpriced, not worth what you pay for.
Therefore, based upon that, I am giving Broadwater one star overall, because they are definitely not worth what their price-range suggests.
