UNGREATFUL PEOPLE

I am happy to write my review of Broadwater. I have read the previous reviews and I am appalled at the down right ungreatfulness that these people demonstrate. I have lived at broadwater for 5 years and management has always tried to be as helpful as they can. Judy and Karen are always eager to help especially post Ike even with their own lives turned upside down by this tragedy. To all the people who complain about the debris or new construction, I think you need to go downstairs and look at those units where those residents lost everything! and then you need to get into your church and thank god you were spared. The Contractors have been exceptional in getting things renewed in our community and are happy to help out when asked. The crews that did the initial clean-up did an awesome job in a short amount of time. Next time you feel the need to complain about the current conditions, please remember this entire property is going through this together. Judy and Karen are working out of an office with no walls, and debris all around them. Our apartments are being repaired before the office is. I think that shows a lot of dedication to the residents. God Bless You Judy and Karen. Keep your head up. These ungreatful people who complain will soon forget your struggles as they have already forgotten about Ike and the path it left behind.

Those contractors they hired to clean up after the hurricane were stealing from the residents. Although you sing their praises, I can't even begin to tell you the degradation it felt to have them stealing what was left of my home.

Well I think that's great you are a positive person. However, I must say I agree with the anonymous response. I had several pieces of my jewelry stolen from my first floor apartment while the crew cleaned up. They also threw my clothes that were nice and dry on my wet bed causing them to mildew. I had to throw them all away because of the crew's ignorance. I also was upset mainly at Judy because she had my number yet did not call to warn me that my items would be tampered with. I came home to find my sheet rock, cabinets, and carpet all ripped out. All of the items in my cabinets were thrown out as well as my washer and dryer. The items I could have saved (like my clothes) and several of my other items were ruined because they were contaminated with paint dust and mildew. If Judy would have called and warned me I could have saved my clothes and the other items I had to throw away because they had paint dust on them from when they cut out the sheet rock.

It would not surprise me if management is writing positive reviews. Everyone I know living in this complex is very unhappy. There is trash everywhere, nothing is getting repaired other than the downstairs apartments. The only reason the office is probably not getting repaired first is because you can not rent the office. The apartment units are priority so the complex can make money not because Judy and Karen are putting others before themselves.

I agree about the positive responses. They both start off almost the same way. I agree also with the trash problem. Most of it is caused by the workers who throw their drink cans and food wrappers wherever they choose. The privacy fence has still not been fixed. It's been 4 months now!! While I am very "grateful" that my apartment had little damage, I am getting tired of being made to feel guilty about complaining about some of the things here. I pay full rent and I should not have to keep reminding the office of things that need to be fixed. The workers that tore up the walls and ceilings in order to get the new AC's installed have left a mess. I have floor to ceiling holes in the drywall with insulation hanging out and holes in the ceiling that they didn't bother covering. It's been at least 3 weeks. Workers should have been scheduled to repair what was torn up to install the AC's as soon as they were finished tearing things up. I can only imagine how long I will have to wait for that. I feel in some ways that the management is using Ike to cover up their inability or unwillingness to take care of their paying residents while all this construction is going on.

I stayed in the apartments up to the hurricane hit and it's sad to say that the contractors were stealing from the apartment downstairs. I'm a victim. They stole majority of my shoes, my husband work tools, and basically anything they might be able to use. From my understanding there is a off duty security officer who patrols the complex...so why did some many people items get stolen. Did he not care?
