I want to give a positive accommodation for this property because I give credit where credit is due! I have been a resident at Capt.'s Landing Apartments in Galveston, TX, since May of 2005. My wife and I moved here because of the location and amentites the property has to offer. Ever since we have lived here, we have had outstanding service by the past and present office/maintenance personnel. When there were leaks due to a complete roof replacement on both properties, we were treated with respect and professionalism. When our A/C compressor went out on a Saturday afternoon last Aug. 07, it was replaced by noon the next day. . .ON A SUNDAY! Even when my ex-wife and I split up, I choose to stay here because of the high level of quality service I and others have received.
There have been a few petty issues to deal with, like loud bass music from visitors and the occasional water shut-offs due to repairs; but other than that, it is wonderful community to live in! I am friends with my neighbors, which is a plus, and we have seen exceptional improvements to the property since the arrival of our new Manager, Deanne. The new staff are a breath of fresh air.
ALSO, it is unfair to criticize people that are trying hard to do a good job; we are only human! You can't blame management for lazy pet owners not being responsible for their pets, for the appliances that reach the end of their life cycles or for the uncontrollable circumstances that occur in ALL neighborhoods across the nation. It took only a few days for the Maintenance Manager to address my current A/C problem and his experience showed! If there are "problem residents," they are quickly dealt with in a professional manner;
"you can't condemn the masses for the actions of a few!"
I highly recommend Capt.'s & Stuart's Landing Apartments to any prospective residents that are looking to relocate to Galveston Island, Texas. It is a pleasant, gated community located close the the beach that offers quality service with a smile!
Everytime I leave the hustle and bustle of Houston, TX, it is comforting to know that soon I will be relaxing at HOME!

sound like to me your the manager they dont fix the ac that fast i know this cuz the guy next door to me had to wait 3 day in the summer very sad we all know tx is bad in the summer

No, I'm not the manager. Maybe it has to do with treating people the way you want to be treated. I know cuz I live on a 3rd floor! :)
